before and after: a sustainable activewear brand

A peak behind the scenes as we transform an empowering, ethical activewear brand.

A beautiful business that does beautiful things — that’s how Nathalia Grisard, owner and founder of gngr bees, described her brand when she initially reached out to us. And she was right! She creates beautiful activewear pieces that are all ethically made and support various environmental and social projects…but her branding was lackluster. It wasn’t speaking to the quality of her products or communicating what her brand stood for. That’s where we came in.

Through branding, messaging, web design, packaging, and tag designs, we created an earthy, artisanal brand experience that immediately communicates the vibe and mission of gngr bees.

gngr bees primary logo before the rebrand was playful and whimsical but didn’t speak to the sustainability mission of the brand.

in redesigning the primary logo, we wanted to create something that was elevated and versatile to use across marketing materials, packaging, clothing tags, and more.

the why behind gngr bees

With a mission to make the planet better for all, gngr bees ethically produces clothing using materials that have been disposed of, reclaimed, upcycled, and recycled. In addition to ethically making all its products, gngr bees also partners with various social enterprises and sustainability projects. Through these partnerships and by donating profits from various collections, gngr bees pairs sustainability with ethics to change the standards of the fashion industry across the board. The Struggle

The initial branding for gngr bees felt outdated and didn’t speak to the sustainability angle of the brand. Through our initial discovery phase, Nat told us she didn’t feel like her original branding and logo communicated the brand’s soul, that the brand needed a more mature facelift without losing its essence, and that she wanted something immediately recognizable that spoke to what she was trying to achieve through gngr bees — planet-empowering, sustainable activewear.

She also had a hard time explaining her mission to her audience without her website feeling overwhelming or confusing. Through a brand messaging strategy and site copywriting, as well as design, we were able to clearly communicate what her brand stood for and all of the amazing things she’s doing through gngr bees.

The Goal

A modern, organic, and artisanal branding experience that empowers women to live mindfully, look good, feel good, and do good in their activewear.

The Results

Ready to feel confident with your business and not have any doubts about the message you’re sending your audience!? Reach out! We’d love to get to know you and make all of your branding dreams come true. You don’t have to take just my word for it, either:

You created something I knew I wanted but never imagined could exist. NAILED IT. I freaking love it — the first thing that came to my mind was that it was a brand I will be proud of showing off.
