Every Day Collective Co. owner Brittany was simply looking for a creative outlet during the COVID lockdown when she found the art of making jewelry. She dove in and taught herself how to make and do everything that comes along with jewelry making. The hobby quickly stuck and she soon realized something was missing in the market.

Brittany was always drawn to minimal, trendy pieces that could be worn every day, and while she regularly found trendy pieces that aligned with her style, the overall quality was seriously lacking. Everything she found didn’t have the kind of quality to be worn every day so she set out to bridge the gap and create handmade jewelry with quality materials.

Just like many businesses starting, Brittany took a DIY approach to her branding. While her DIY branding gave her a starting point, it ended up all over the place. She knew her brand had SO much potential to be more cohesive, bright, and fun so she reached out to us!

Through branding, messaging, a Shopify site, and site copywriting, we created a cohesive branding experience that set Brittany up for long-term success and would leave an instant memorable impression on her customers.

 The Struggle

Brittany built a solid customer base at in-person events but struggled to establish more of an online presence and customer base. She wanted people to come across her site and WANT to shop. In addition to building her online presence, she needed to stay consistent on social media and have branding that created a memorable feeling that enticed customers to buy from her. She also wanted her branding to reflect the style of the jewelry she sold so it was clear from the beginning what people could expect to find on her site.

The Goal

A modern, fun, and boho branding experience that makes women excited to shop for minimal, everyday jewelry.

The solution

Inspired by the modern, minimal style of Brittany’s jewelry, we used a modern sans-serif as our base for her primary logo. While we’re suckers for a simple, clean logo design, we wanted to add touches of personality to Brittany’s primary logo by making small customizations to the letters. Influenced by the arches found in her jewelry, we aimed to seamlessly integrate these curves into the design of the logo. Additionally, because her brand name was on the longer side, we played around with type hierarchy to create some additional visual interest in the logo design.

While the logo in itself already created such a memorable feel, we’re not ones to ever create JUST a logo (more on why we’re passionate about that here!) so we leaned further into the playful, boho vibes of the brand through illustrations and patterns to create a truly one-of-a-kind, couldn’t-forget-it-if-you-tried branding experience.

To create a full-on VIBE and give customers an idea of what they could expect when shopping Every Day Collective, we illustrated various pieces of Brittany’s jewelry in a fun, whimsical way. We took the organic, boho feel a step further through pattern design by using artistic elements to provide depth and texture to her branding. We wanted these abstract shapes to coincide with the shapes of her jewelry and tie into the curves of the primary logo to ensure a seamless branding experience. The textured elements also helped speak to the handmade nature of her products while still communicating the playful and fun energy.

The Results

“Thank you SOOO much for all that you ladies have done! This was such an amazing and fun process — you guys made it so easy on my end! There is no way that I could’ve ever come up with the things that you did — the logos, the type, the illustrations, the copy. Everything is so unique and special to EDC, I seriously cannot wait to launch everything! It’s such a huge confidence booster and I feel so much more legit now that I have branding. I'm so, so glad that I invested in this. I think the return is going to be more than worth it! I so appreciate how easy this process was as a client. You stuck to the deadlines, brainstormed with me, took my input, etc. I'm kind of sad it's coming to an end! It's really been so much fun. I've shown some close people the final branding and website, and everyone is so impressed!” – Brittany, Every Day Collective Co.
