3 Things I Do On Sundays That I Swear By
1 | clean
Since I work from home, getting the “office” prepped for Monday makes for a much better week ahead and honestly, this easily goes beyond the office. I’ve found that I feel so much more at ease and less distracted knowing the rest of my house is picked up and ready for the week. If you’re a work from home girly like I am, check out my other tips to stay inspired when working from home.
2 | get outside
Go for a long walk outside. Seriously, soaking up all of that vitamin D is going to do amazing things for your mood. I know we’re chatting through things to do on a Sunday, but I’ve found that even in the height of dealing with a stressful client situation or some design fatigue, the best thing for me is to get outside and go for a walk. It’s an INSTANT mood booster. Plusssss, wearing out my pups so they can hopefully be lazy Monday morning has been almost an essential business move.
Now, let’s face it, in the midwest the weather doesn’t always permit for an outside stroll. When it doesn’t, I still like to find some way to move my body or to do something for me as I get ready to head into the work week.
3 | look ahead!
Last but certainly not least, plan for the week ahead! You’ll feel so much less stressed on Monday morning when you set aside an hour or so to make sure all of your ducks are in a row. What deadlines are happening in the upcoming week? Do you have everything you need to work successfully on those projects? Can you schedule some time for a little R&R if it’s needed? Planning and looking ahead will be a saving grace for you if you’re not already doing it!
One thing in particular that I love to do is create social content for the week on my Sundays. This isn’t something you HAVE to do by any means (you could really do it at any point in your week!) but I’ve found it makes my weeks less chaotic when I have at least a few posts created or a rough idea for the content I want to film or create that week. I love going into Monday morning with a post planned and prepped, and my lists organized so I don’t feel overwhelmed first thing.
What are some of your favorite ways to get ready for the week!?
